Painting Services

Preparation-first painting, because the finish only lasts as long as the surface under it.

Service Overview

Most paint failures are preparation failures. Flaking, patchy sheen and hairline cracks reappearing within months usually trace back to a surface that was not scraped, sealed or filled properly before the first coat.

We treat preparation as the bulk of the job: scraping, crack repair, skim coat where needed, sealer, then topcoats. Masking and floor protection are set up before anything is opened.

What We Provide

  • Surface preparation

Scraping back loose paint, sanding, filling and skim coating so the substrate is sound before sealing.

  • Crack and defect treatment

Hairline and settlement cracks opened, filled and reinforced rather than painted over.

  • Interior painting

Walls, ceilings, skirting and doors with masking and floor protection throughout.

  • Exterior and weather-facing painting

Weather-resistant systems for facades, boundary walls and exposed surfaces, including waterproof coatings where needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How many coats do you apply?
Two topcoats over a sealer is the normal specification. Strong colour changes or heavily patched surfaces may need an extra coat, which we flag in the quotation rather than after.
2. Do you move furniture?
We shift and cover furniture within the room as part of the works. Bulky or fragile items are better relocated beforehand, and we will point those out at the site visit.
3. Can you paint over existing damp or water stains?
Not directly — the moisture source has to be dealt with first, otherwise the stain returns through the new paint. We identify the cause during inspection and quote the treatment separately.
4. How long before a room can be used?
Most interior water-based systems are touch-dry within hours and usable the next day. We confirm the recoat and cure times for the specific system in the quotation.
